- My favorite teaching moment is when my students light up once they are able to read all on their own!
- Teaching philosophy:
- I believe each child is a special gift from God. Each child has something special and unique to bring to the table. I want all my students to know my classroom is a safe place where they can have fun, and grow mentally, physically, and spiritually.
- What I would like to instill in my students:
- I want my students to know they are special, unique, and wonderfully made. I want them to know that everyday they are able to learn something new everyday no matter where they are.
- My story:
- I was born and raised in the East Bay area. I went to school in Concord, CA starting from elementary all the way through high school. I graduated from Clayton Valley Charter High school and continued to further my education at Azusa Pacific University in Southern CA. I graduated with my B.A. in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Special Education. I now teach 1st Grade at Tabernacle school and love every minute of it! My husband Dylan is actually a Tabernacle alum, his testimony is one of reasons why I chose to teach here.
- Hobbies:
- I enjoy the outdoors and being active. I love spending time with my doberman Oakley, whether it's running, hiking, or exploring new places we are always on the move. As much as I love the outdoors I also enjoy weekends at home with my husband whether it's a date night or watching movies and eating popcorn on the couch.
