- What I love about teaching:
- My favorite thing about teaching is seeing my students light up when they get it! I love to see the excitement in their eyes when they talk about what we are learning. Their passion and zeal for life makes everyday an exciting day.
- Best teacher moment:
- When I get called ‘mom’ instead of ‘Mrs. Cochnauer’-I know I’ve made it into their world.
- Teaching philosophy:
- Every child has amazing potential, it’s my job to see what makes them tick and encourage that in them.
- What I would like to instill in my students:
- You can do anything you set your mind to!
- My story:
- Since I was a little girl, I’ve wanted to be a teacher. My path to my teaching career was not super direct, but through the grace of God he has led me there. I know it’s my calling and I’m blessed to be able to do it.
- Hobbies:
- Teaching! Not only do I teach second grade, I am also a certified fitness instructor. I am a mom to a pretty fantastic nine-year-old daughter. I am a wife to a fabulous Captain for the Rodeo Hercules Fire Dept. by day and woodworker on his weekends. As a family, we love our creative outlets. I love crafting. I’ve recently picked up the art of macramé. I love my Cricut machine, it allows me to make fun gifts for friends and family. We have 14 beautiful hens that lay us fresh eggs! We are grateful and blessed.
