- What I love about teaching:
- I love seeing the face and reaction of the students when they grasp a concept that we are learning. Also I enjoy the fun and laughter that the students each bring into the classroom.
- Best teacher moment:
- My best teaching moment came when teaching my role playing games class. In this class the students need to work together to solve problems and complete objectives. The best day was when one student who normally was not the leader in the class stepped up and gave an idea to the group and was told to lead them. They did such a good job giving instructions and preventing any conflicts between students so everyone knew what they needed to do and were successful in a way I did not think for them to do.
- Teaching philosophy:
- Every student can learn. It is all about how they learn and giving them the tools to understand in the way they need to see the material.
- What I would like to instill in my students:
- Respect. Respect for God, respect for others and respect for themselves.
- My story:
- I have wanted to be a teacher since I began working with kids here at tabernacle back in 2010. I started in our after school program and bonded with the students that kept me returning every summer and school year. two years ago when I got the opportunity to start substituting here I was so excited because I knew the students personally and I enjoyed the staff I worked with. This lead into this year where I get to be creative with the elective classes I teach and help guide the students in their walk with Christ.
- Hobbies:
- playing games, going outside, grabbing coffee with a friend.
