- What I love about teaching:
- I love to inspire and motivate. I enjoy helping the youth discover their potential. Encouraging my students and athletes to find their passion and build self esteem through athletics.
- Best teacher moment:
- Is when I see that smile on a student or athlete’s face after they’ve been rewarded by accomplishing an outstanding play after they’ve been giving their best effort during practice and games.
- Teaching philosophy:
- To learn life lessons thru sports. Everything is earned, nothing is given. Hard work works. To learn how to enjoy competition. Not trying is worse than failing!
- What I would like to instill in my students:
- I want to help develop leaders through teamwork, build great character win or lose, mental toughness, and strong work ethic.
- My story:
- My why. As an adult now and when I look back, I regret not playing sports in high school. Nobody really encouraged me to do so when I was growing up and so I ended up choosing the wrong path. I hung around the wrong crowd and made poor decisions. That is why I encourage the students I work with to participate in interscholastic sports so they don’t make the same mistake as I did.
- Hobbies:
- Anything that has to do with sports. Going to the gym, spending time with family and our English Bulldog Ziggy.
