- What I love about teaching:
- Watching my students learn new skills socially, academically, and growing spiritually in their faith in God.
- Best teacher moment:
- Making lessons meaningful and hands on, so that they can apply it to the real world.
- Teaching philosophy:
- Providing a challenging, yet variety of ways for students to learn and demonstrate their knowledge.
- What I would like to instill in my students:
- First, a love for Jesus. Next, stay organized and on top your work so you don't get behind. Do your best work. Finally, I want to encourage them to be willing to take on challenges that might require extra effort, but to persevere. The end is worth it.
- My story:
- I have been teaching for 20+ years. I began this journey by homeschooling my younger sister, and then my own children. Now I am blessed to be in a traditional classroom teaching.
- Hobbies:
- I especially like taking long walks or hikes. If they are short, Ginger, our family dog comes with me. I enjoy cooking/grilling and baking. Chocolate is my weakness.
