- What I love about teaching:
- This will be my second year at BCS. I love the passion that God has given me for something I could have never imagined. I love challenging students. I also love surprising them with fun activities. I love watching their hearts open and seeing the dots connect.
- Best teacher moment:
- It was the last day of school and I asked the students to write down the best part of their year. There were multiple students that said the best part of their year was when I became their teacher. I will never forget it.
- Teaching philosophy:
- Let’s figure it out together.
- What I would like to instill in my students:
- We’ve got your back, whether you like it or not!
- My story:
- I have been a caregiver for my children for the last 12 years. I have been focused on being a wife and mother. It has not been easy and not always rewarding. But I would not change it. My husband and I started Our City Center Church in Berkeley during the pandemic. We are excited about what God is doing in Berkeley. I started at BCS as a support staff. That role quickly led me into a position assessing the reading at BCS. I was asked to be a long-term sub in 7th grade, which has led me to the position as 7th grade teacher/Middle School History Teacher.
- Hobbies:
- As my 8 year old would say, “Relaxing!”
