- What I love about teaching:
- I love the excitement of the classroom and seeing the world through the eyes of a child. I love that at Tabernacle I get to share my love of Jesus with my class and incorporate Bible throughout the subjects.
- Best teacher moment:
- I love what I do and my "kids" from year to year. Even on the challenging days, I am so blessed to be a part of their lives and the team at Tabernacle.
- Teaching philosophy:
- Educate the whole child, Spiritually, academically, socially and emotionally.
- What I would like to instill in my students:
- They are wonderfully made with many unique talents and abilities.
- My story:
- Tabernacle is such a great place to work and I have had the privilege of working here since 2013, but I started my career in education in 2001. Since then, I have had the privilege of working with students with special needs as well as a general education teacher. It is incredible to be at Tabernacle where my passion for children's ministry and teaching can be used at the same time. I love to listen to my class sing out their love for Jesus and have the ability to weave Biblical principals throughout our day. My college education began at California Christian College where I met my husband of 18 years and later transferred to Patten University where I earned my BA in Liberal Studies and continued credentialing coursework. When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy adventures with my husband, and spending time with friends and family as well as our two dogs, Ducky and Daisy.
- Hobbies:
- When vacation time allows, I enjoy road trips and camping with my husband and two dogs. I love to sing and when at home you can find my in my kitchen cooking up something and singing a tune or two.
